How I Got Started: I used to follow my dad around and watch him curl in leagues, bonspiels around the area. He got me playing in a few leagues when I was ready, met some friends to curl with and it took off from there.
Mentors/Tell About Them: All my teammates throughout the years. Not very specific, but these are the people who you spend your time with and learn from. They are the ones who help you become a better person/curler.
Career Highlights (In Your Own Words): Winning a state championship and national runner-up with my dad at only 18 years old was a great experience. Playing in front of a packed house with everyone cheering for us was a great thrill. I was on teams that represented the USA in juniors overseas in Denmark and Italy, and got to go back to Italy in 2007 for the World University Games in which we won gold. Last but not least, spending the last year, overcoming some ups and downs, working hard, practicing lots, and winning the 2009 National Championship/Olympic Trials with 3 great friends and teammates.
