The Team Around The Team (TATT) is a group of individuals who are investing their time and talents to train our U.S. Men’s and Women’s Olympic Curling Teams in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver.
Rodger Schmidt, Technical and Team Systems Coach John Crawley, U.S. Olympic Committee Dr. John Coumbe-Lilley, Ph. D USA Curling Sports Psychologist/Mental Skills Coach Scott Higgins, USA Curling Coaching Development Director/Vancouver Olympic Team Performance Coordinator Brian McWilliams, USA Curling Physical Therapist Mark Swandby, Men’s & Women’s Team Leader, 2010 Olympic Winter Games Warren Pretorius, Dartifish USA , Video Analyst.
The members of TATT have worked tirelessly at each training camp in Green Bay to coach and prepare the teams using the expertise from their respective fields. The athletes have had the opportunity to work on the physical, emotional, and technical aspects of their game to strengthen performance and grow as individuals and athletes. In addition, the teams have been provided with support to help complete all of the forms, paperwork and tasks required of an Olympic athlete.
The TATT travel from all over the country (and even Switzerland!) to attend the camps in Green Bay to contribute to the training of our teams. Their commitment and focus on our curlers as they prepare for the Olympics is truly nothing short of extraordinary!
Training camp is generally hard work, but there is time for friendly camaraderie and fun as seen in these photos.
